Meet The Staff

  1. Tony Headshot

    Anthony Serio (MSW, LCSW)

    Director of Youth Services

    Hi, I'm Tony!

I'm the new Director of Andover Youth Services! I most recently worked in Lexington, MA where I served as the Assistant Director of Youth & Family Services, a division of the Lexington Human Services Department. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and my master’s degree in social work from Simmons University.

Prior to working in Lexington, I practiced as a clinical social worker across various school, hospital, and behavioral health settings. These positions included providing intensive case management at inpatient residential facilities, providing individual and community-based counseling services via the Child-Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI), working as the Clinical Coordinator of a DMH-funded residential program, and coordinating summer activities for a therapeutic foster care agency. All of these incredible experiences enhanced my approach to working with youth and families.

In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, playing music, and cooking!

  1. Hayato Headshot

    Hayato Tsurumaki (CPRP)

    Asst Director of Youth Services

    Hi, I’m Hayato!

I am the new Assistant Director of Andover Youth Services. For the last 15 years I have worked in the Recreation field planning and implementing programs for toddlers through adults. For the last 4 years I was the Recreation Supervisor for the Town of Lexington. During my time there I was responsible for overseeing our two aquatic facilities (pool complex with 4 pools and a reservoir), oversaw all of our flag football and basketball leagues, managed all of the field permitting for over 30 ballfields, and oversaw over 150 seasonal staff and volunteers.

I recently received my certification as a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) to show my commitment to the field and to continue my growth, knowledge and network of fellow colleagues. Growing up, I would always take part in recreational classes, programs, and various sports teams. Having the ability to participate in these programs has fueled my passion to provide services for others. The thing I enjoy most about my work is fostering a fun and safe space for others to create new connections within the community.  I am looking forward to being able to provide similar opportunities that I was afforded when I was younger.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, coaching my son’s sports teams, watching college and professional sports, going to the beach, and going out to try new foods.

I am excited to bring my knowledge and experience to the Town of Andover, specifically to the youth in the community and hope to get to know everyone soon!

  1. Dawy

    Dawy Lebron

    Program Coordinator

    Hello I'm Dawy!

I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic up until the age of 9 when I came to the United States. I graduated from Lowell High School where I excelled on the baseball diamond. I later went on to graduate from Saint Peter’s University on a full baseball scholarship. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Business, I went on to play Independent professional baseball. Throughout High School and College, I ran multiple baseball clinics for kids where I focused on teaching kids the basics of the game. I'm looking forward to doing that here at AYS! Before working in Andover, I also worked at the Greater Lowell YMCA.

People say that I'm extremely outgoing and always have a smile on my face. I love working with kids and passing on my life experiences. I'm always looking to support and bring out the best in each child. In my free time, I love to workout and play baseball!

  1. Jed

    Jed Allen

    Program Coordinator

    Hi I'm Jed!

I'm an adventure seeker, musician, personal trainer, and an outdoor enthusiast. I grew up in Dover, NH, and attended UNH where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. I have devoted my career to recreation, health/wellness, and experiential education. My summer job throughout college was working for a program that led month-long camping/bicycling trips. I led trips across New England, Quebec, and Europe! This helped to develop my passion for outdoor adventure, and working with the youth. Since then I have guided backpacking, climbing, and mountain bike expeditions with at-risk teenagers in the backcountry of Utah, worked as a Recreation Specialist with adults with disabilities, and most recently worked with adults with major mental illness as a personal trainer and  nutrition coach.

In my free time you can find me rock climbing, mountain biking, playing board games, rocking out on the drums, and relaxing on my kayak!
